President Arif Alvi was being briefed by Federal Minister Senator Shibli Faraz on Electronic Voting machine(EVM). The practical demonstration of working of Electronic Voting Machine was performed to give a better idea. During the briefing, the Federal Minister Senator Shibli Faraz said that the machine was indigenously built entirely and is solely the work of Engineers of Pakistan under the umbrella of Ministry of Science and Technology. The Minister said that the machine is effective, and reusable which makes it an important and cost effective step towards achieving free and credible elections. The President congratulated the team of Ministry of Science and Technology under leadership of Minister Shibli Faraz who effectively achieved their target of timely completion of EVM. The President appreciated the fact that machine will be a huge help in timely announcement of election results and will protect the identity of voters.
The Federal Minister Shibli Faraz thanked the President of Pakistan for his personal interest and guidance in successful completion of the project in limited span of time.
