Deals with Metrology, Standards, Testing, Accreditation, Quality Assurance System. Technology Wing is responsible for technical matters of PCSIR, PNAC, PSQCA, NMIP, PEC and PHA

Develops and monitors National S&T policies, establishes and evaluates S&T/R&D institutes and labs, coordinates with Federal and Provincial S&T bodies, manages technical matters of PCST, PSF, PMNH, PASTIC, NUST, and oversees civil awards for scientists and technologists

Deals with administrative matters of Ministry i.e. recruitment, transfer and posting, General Administration

Administrative matters of allied organizations under the administrative control of the Ministry

Manages financial and accounting operations, ensures compliance with financial management regulations, and supports budget planning and allocation

Oversees R&D in electronics and renewable energy, manages technical matters of NIE, PCRET, CWHR, STEDEC, NUTECH, drafts and processes legislation for MoST organizations, and implements e-Government and IT security initiatives

Preparation of Annual Development Plans, Five Year Plan, Vision exercise, etc. Preparation of Development Budget in coordination with MoST Organizations and Planning Commission, Organize DDWP and coordinate with Planning Commission for CDWP/ ECNEC meetings, Periodic Review Exercises with Planning Commission On-site Monitoring of Development Projects, Post project completion processing activities i.e. PC-IV and PC-V, etc.
