To inspect and test, products and services for their quality, specification and characteristics, during use and for import and export purposes. To Prepare, implement, co-ordinate and arrange training programmers on standardization, quality control testing and weights & measures, for technical staff of the Authority, other organizations and trainees from foreign countries . To set up, assist, establish and authorize various inspection and testing centres and agencies at important industrial sites and towns. Provision of quality labelling standards to specify ingredients, performance, specification, usage, methods, Inspection of samples and other relevant quality control grading of products, when requested by manufacturers, or whenever necessary. To grant, renew, suspend, cancel or with-draw any license or certificate for the use of any of the Authority marks.
