Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi held a bilateral meeting with a high-level delegation from the Czech Republic. During the meeting, discussions were held to enhance cooperation in various fields of science and technology. The Ambassador of the Czech Republic offered scholarships in emerging technologies for Pakistani students, marking an important step toward strengthening academic and research ties between the two countries. Both sides emphasized boosting bilateral collaboration in science, technology, and emerging sciences.

The Federal Minister welcomed Pakistan’s improved ranking in the Global Innovation Index and termed it a positive development. He highlighted that Pakistan’s talented workforce is serving around the world in highly paid positions, showcasing the country’s growing capabilities in the global market. He stressed the need for further initiatives to strengthen Pakistan’s human resource development in science and technology to achieve even greater recognition internationally.

Khalid Hussain Magsi also underlined the importance of metrology for the development of industries and ensuring quality standards. He expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for offering support to enhance the skills of young scientists and technologists.
